SYSTEM DESIGN, ENGINEERING AND SIMULATION

Engineer Working on Machinery

In the last decade and more, automation, has acquired many a meaning depending on our day to day life and living. Electrical (power systems, transmission etc.) electronics (design and testing, manufacturing etc.) mechanical systems (engines, hydraulics, pneumatics etc.), wherever you look, every sub-system design or any large system design, development and integration, involves multi-disciplinary teams, working together, needing to have a complete understanding of the end product while working in their individual areas of expertise, completely in sync and aware of the multi-disciplinary nature of the product and the inter dependencies.  All this while working on tight timelines, strict budgets, across multiple time zones and with multi-national teams across the globe.  Redsilver Technologies believes in working with their customers in understanding these dependencies and partnering with the customer in achieving the end results while developing better business insights, process improvements, all within the given business constraints.

We offer solutions that cover a wide array of applications. We help drive product design, development, prototyping, validation and manufacturing efficiencies, driving business growth, competitive edge, business intelligence and operational efficiency among many other business outcomes.

Our solutions span the following broad Technology and Solutions domains :
CAD, CAE, FEA and MULTI PHYSICS SOLUTIONS

Vast improvements in product design, product development methodology, product prototyping, product testing and validation, manufacturing and quality control has been facilitated and brought about by a range of software solutions for various needs. Starting with CAD, CAE, FEA, to the latest in multi-physics modeling (in terms of stress analysis, structural analysis, EMI/EMC, low/high frequency system design,  computational fluid dynamics etc.) and multi-disciplinary systems that have brought about the need for multi-body simulation (combination of mechanical, electrical, electronics, embedded systems) has become the norm.  Add to this automation that has entered the world of manufacturing and manufacturing systems (CAM) that have lead to investments and improvement in process parameters, SPC, SQC systems, to the latest domains of machine learning (ML), artificial intelligence (AI) etc. for a more optimized, differentiated and competitive product and least time to market.

Businesses need to manage the entire process of product design, development and launch, very efficiently in the present competitive market scenario. Launching a product in the shortest possible time frame requires complete Product Lifecycle Management (PLM), addressing the need to effortlessly integrate the multiple teams, tools and technologies that exist in a Multi disciplinary and Multi domain world of products and product solutions.

Helping customers in these multi-disciplinary areas with solutions that add value, bridging the gaps in the entire product development, manufacturing and management process, is the need, we at Redsilver Technologies, strive to fulfill to the best of our customer needs.

MODEL BASED SYSTEMS ENGINEERING - MBSE

Multi-engineering Solution: Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) is the practice of developing a set of related system models that help define, design, analyze, and document the system to be developed. MBSE historically focused on requirements gathering, design, modeling, simulation, analysis, verification, validation and software prototyping of a system or systems (multi-engineering), using a library of functions or function blocks, that model that simulate physical components that can be described or defined by ordinary differential or algebraic equations.

Multi-engineering means that models can consist of components from many engineering domains. This allows for better end to end systems design and modeling for a complete system simulation, trouble shooting, what-if analysis, validation and prototyping without the need for physical product prototypes, helping teams to better depict the real system with detailed system parameters, test for extreme strengths and multi-physics capabilities using various readily  functionalities, ready libraries within each add-on specific modules. Libraries of functions or function blocks in many different engineering domains are available that contain components for mechanical, structural, electrical, control, power systems, signal processing, communications, telecommunications, hydraulics, thermal, pneumatic, transmission, motors, powertrain, thermodynamics, vehicle dynamics, HVAC, CFD etc.

Products like Dymola from Dassault Systems or MATLAB from The MathWorks, have graphical editor and multi-engineering libraries based on the open source Modelica based physical library of functions blocks or signal based libraries of functions or function blocks developed using C language.

All these products with their libraries of functions and function blocks, are optimized to produce C Code, target specific or target independent, and are compatible with various hardware's from vendors supporting Hardware-in-the-loop Simulation (HILS), real-time simulation using dSPACE, xPC which have interfaces to Simulink® and Real-time 3D animation and import of CAD files.

UML AND SysML based solution for MBSE Environment

Modeling Environment in No Magic/Cameo Systems Modeler™ is an industry-leading cross-platform collaborative Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) environment, which provides smart, robust, and intuitive tools to define, track, and visualize all aspects of systems in the most standards compliant SysML models and diagrams. The environment enables systems engineers to:

  • Run engineering analysis for design decisions evaluation and requirements verification

  • Continuously check model consistency and track design progress with metrics

System models can be managed in remote repositories, stored as standard XMI files, or published to documents, images, and web views to address different stakeholder concerns.

Analysis & Simulation: No Magic/Cameo Simulation Toolkit enables model execution and user interface prototyping for early system behavior simulation, better understanding, and validation, all with the help of debug and animation, model-based testing, timeline plots, and duration constraint analysis. The toolkit also comes with the built-in parametric
solver, scripting engines, and integrations with MATLAB®/Simulink®, Maple, and Mathematica to perform engineering analyses, such as parametric and topological trade studies, automated requirements verification, mass/cost/power rollups, and what-if analyses.

Requirements Engineering : No Magic/Cameo DataHub is an add-on to No Magic/Cameo Systems Modeler that allows importing, exporting, synchronizing, and referencing text-based requirements in IBM® Rational® DOORS®, IBM® Rational® RequisitePro®, and CSV format files.
